                     Long time CFRS member Clair “Skeeter” Delancey passed away this afternoon at his home. He was 64 years of age. Skeeter had been a firefighter at the Friendship Fire Co. early in his career, but most recently had been a fire police officer with Carlisle Special Fire Police. He was retired from Cumberland County after serving in the maintenance department. Rest in Peace, Skeeter.
 
 
Thoughts and prayers go out to United Hook & Ladder Company 33 and the family of Brandon Little, R.I.P.

1/1/12- CFRS Water Rescue Team was dispatched to Mt. Union Borough to assist with a search for a person who fell off a bridge into the water. Had divers working with Harrisburg River Rescue on doing the search. Command called off the search around 5:30 when it got dark.

1/1/12 - Engine 145 & Truck 45 was dispatch for smoke in the structure. Crews arrived and did not find any smoke in the structure but found a bad Cell Phone charger. Command placed the box in service

1/1/12 - Engine 145 was dispatch to North Middleton Twp for a possible house fire. Chief 139 arrived on the scene to find a trash can on fire outside the structure. Engine 145 assist with lighting and with checking for the resident for any smoke in the structure. Command then held company 39 and placed the rest in service.

1/2/12 - Company 45 was dispatch for a kitchen fire in the Borough of Carlisle. Eng. 241 arrived on the scene to find a small fire in the oven. Crews extinguished the fire and company 45 assist with setting up a PPV. Command held Engine 241 and placed the rest in service.

1/2/12 - Rescue 45 was dispatch for an Auto Accident at West Penn and Franklin Street. Arrived and found two vehicles in the intersection and one Pt still in the one vehicle. Crews assist EMS and with clean up and once the vehicles was on the Tow Truck command placed the box in service.

1/2/12- Truck 45, Rescue 45, Air 45 was dispatch to a structure fire on York Road in SMT. Had one crew go to the roof to cut a hole and other crews did ventilation work from the outside on side D. Had a crew do search and rescue on the 2nd floor and was all clear.

1/2/12 - Dispatch for an AFA in the Borough of Carlisle. Crews investigated and found nothing command placed the box in service.

1/3/12 - Truck 45 & Air 45 was dispatch to West Penn Twp for a chimney fire. Truck 45 arrived on the scene and sent one crew to the roof to assist and sent another crew inside to assist. A PPV was set up on side A and once conditions was good command placed the box in service.

1/3/12 - Company 45 was dispatch to 2 Houser Lane for an AFA. Company 41 crew investigated and found they were working on the alarm. Command placed the box in service

 

1/3/12 - Rescue 45 was dispatch for an Auto Accident in West Penns Borough Twp on the Newville Road. Command 46 held Company 46 and EMS placed the rest in service.

1/3/12 - Rescue 45 was dispatch to Dillsburg for (RIT) for an furnace fire. Command held it to York Count Units and placed the rest of the box in service.

1/4/12 - Company 45 was dispatch for a house fire on W. North St. in the Borough. 41 arrived on the scene to find a small fire in the one room. The fire was knocked down with a Class A. Company 45 assist with setting up ventilation on side A. Then assist with picking up 41 hand lines. Command held 41 and EMS to check a PT out and placed the rest in service.

1/4/12 - Company 45 and Engine 141 was dispatch to 100 Noble Blvd. for an AFA. There was a 360 done and nothing was found Chief 45 checked the alarm panel and it was showing normal. Command placed the box in service.

1/5/12 - Engine 245 was dispatch to 2 West Penn Street in the Borough to assist EMS.

1/5/12 - Engine 145 & Truck 45 was dispatch to for an AFA on North College Street. Chief 3 was on the scene and placed the box in service

1/6/12 - Rescue 45 was dispatch for an Auto Accident on I 81 in South Middleton Twp. Rescue 45 staged at the on ramp to exit 44 till crews looked over the truck. Command held Engine 141 and EMS and placed the res of the box in service

1/6/12 - Company 45 and 41 was dispatch to Shearer Drive for an AFA. Chief 241 held company 41 and placed the rest of the box in service

1/7/2012 - Rescue 45 & Engine 141 responded to a motorcycle accident at G Street and North Pitt Street. Arrived on the scene to find the driver of the motorcycle sitting on a bench on Pitt Street. Crews assist EMS with PT. and once PT was in the ambulance command placed the box in service.

1/8/2012 - Engine 245 responded to Lincoln Street to assist EMS.

1/8/2012 - Rescue 45 and Engine 141 responded to Noble Blvd. & South Hanover Street for an Auto Accident. Chief 145 advised rescue 45 that there was confinement in the gray car. Rescue 45 stabilized the vehicle and then had to pop the drivers door. Then assist EMS and 41 crew with placing the Pt on a long board.

1/9/2012- Company 45 & 41 was dispatch for an AFA in the Borough on North College St. Units arrived and found normal conditions on side A. Engine 145 crew met up with security and did a walk through and found nothing. Command placed the box in service

1/9/2012- Company 45 & 41 was dispatch for an AFA in the Borough at 6 Buchannon Dr.  Units arrived and found normal conditions on side A. Engine 141 crew  did a walk through and found burnt food. Command placed the box in service no need for fire department.

1/10/2012 - Rescue 45 was dispatch for an auto accident on Rt 944 and Deer lane in Middlesex Twp. County called chief 7 and advised that the crash was in Silver Springs Twp to correct the box. Command 31 placed Rescue 45 in service.

1/10/2012 - Company 45 & 41 was dispatch to 1 Courthouse Square for an AFA. Truck 45 crew did a walk through with security and found nothing. Command placed the box in service.

1/10/2012 - Company 45 & 41 was dispatch to 10 South Hanover St. for an AFA. Command placed the box in service false alarm.

1/10/2012 - Company 45 & 41 was dispatch to Georgetown Circle for an AFA. Command placed the box in service false alarm.

1/11/2012 - Engine 245 was dispatch to meet up with Carlisle PD for a control burn on N. Pitt Street. Firefighters used a Class to put the fire out.

1/12/2012 - Engine 145 & Truck 45 responded to an AFA on Industrial Dr. County contacted Chief 45 and advised they spoke with a shift leader and said someone knocked off a sprinkler head and no need for the fire department. Chief 45 placed the box in service

1/12/2012 - Rescue 45 and Engine 141 was dispatch for a pedestrian stuck at S Hanover. Command held Engine 141 and EMS and placed Recue 45 in service.

1/13/2012 - Truck 45 was dispatch for an AFA in West Pennsborough Twp. Chief 146 placed the box in service.

1/13/2012 - Truck 45, Engine 145 & Engine 141 was dispatch for an AFA on Franklin Street. County advised they spoke with the home owner and there was no need for the fire department it was a false alarm. Engine 145 placed the box in service.

1/13/2012- Truck 45, Engine 145 & Engine 141 was dispatch for an AFA on Industrial Drive. County advised they spoke with the shift leader and they were testing the alarm no need for the fire department it was a false alarm. Engine 141 placed the box in service.

1/14/2012 - Engine 145 & Engine 141 was dispatch to Wal Mart for a car fire. Engine 141 placed Engine 145 in service.

1/15/2012 - Rescue 45 was dispatch for RIT to assist York County 64 for smoke in the structure. While En Route rescue 45 was placed in service.

1/16/2012-  Air 45 was dispatch for a building fire on Garfield Street in Shippensburg for air and manpower. Air 45 crew assist with lighting and overhaul on the 3rd floor and side A&D. At 02:26 Truck 45 was dispatch to transfer to station 53. Air 45 was placed in service from the fire at 05:25 and Truck 45 was placed in service from the transfer at 06:05

1/16/2012 - Truck 45, Engine 145, and Engine 141 was dispatch for an AFA in the borough of Carlisle on S. Hanover Street. Nothing was found command held held company 41 and placed company 45 in service

1/17/12 - Rescue 45 assist on an auto accident at Mulberry Ave. and N. Bedford St

1/17/12 - Rescue 45 assist on an auto accident at W. South St and Mooreland Ave.

1/18/12 - Engine 145 assist on a residential lock out with food on the stove. Engine 145 set up a PPV on side A to ventilate.

1/18/12 - Truck 45 responded to Fieldview Dr in Upper Frankford Twp to assist on a chimney fire. While en route command placed truck 45 in service.

1/18/12- Engine & truck 45 responded to an AFA on west High Street in the Borough. While en route command placed the box in service.

1/21/12 - Engine & truck 45 responded to an AFA on North Hanover Street in the Borough. Crews did a walk through and found a detector off everything was ok command placed the box in service.

1/21/12 - Eng.145, Truck 45, and Rescue 45 responded to the Pa Turnpike at the Toll Booths for smoke coming from a Toll Booth. Arrived on the scene and had normal conditions. Took the lower panel off on the outside and inside of the booth and found nothing. Command placed the box inservice.

1/21/12 - Eng. 145 responded to interstate 81 at MM 46 for truck brakes on fire. When arrived on the scene command advised for engine 145 to hold manpower at the engine. Engine 145 then was placed in service by command.

1/21/12 - Truck 45 & Air 45 was dispatch for a chimney fire on the Newville Road. While en route command placed company 45 in service.

1/22/12 - Rescue 45 was dispatch for an auto accident on interstate 81 N at MM46. Arrived on the scene and assist with checking for leaks and lighting.

1/23/12 - Rescue 45 was dispatch to York Rd. & Leidigh Drive for an auto accident with entrapment. Arrived on the scene and assist with extrication. Then assist EMS with boarding 2 other Pt. and loading them in the ambulance.

1/23/12 - Engine 145 & Truck 45 was disptch to 2 West Penn Street for smoke in the structure. Arrived on the scene to find smoke on the 1st floor crews investigated and found burnt food. A PPV fan was set up to ventilate and crews checked the 2nd and 3rd floors and was all clear.

1/24/12 - Rescue 45 was dispatch for an auto accident with a a vehicle overturn. Rescue 45 arrived on the scene and stabilized the vehicle and then asssit EMS with getting the Pt. out.

1/24/12 - Engine 245 transfer to station 25 while they assist on a house fire in Upper Allen

1/25/12 - Company 45, 41, 38, 36, 39 responded to North Bedford Street for smoke in the structures. As the first units started to arrive county advise chief 3A that there maybe people inside still. Wanted to say Congrads to Micah Dewhurst (41) and Josh Martin (41) for a job well done on the save last night on the house fire. Would like to also say Congrads to Keith Hershey (45) Zach McKee (45) and Tyler Uhrich (45) on assisting them by clearing the hall way and steps so the victim could be taken out of the structure. Was not there but heard by many that was there how great a job everyone did with doing search and rescue and locating the victim and thinking of where the fire was but to locate who nedded the help and did not put any others in danger till they could continue on the knock down of the fire. The crew that went to the roof and cut the hole and everyone that assist with throwing ground ladders. It takes a team to do this job and have to say by all the talk the past few fires it has been a team. Also wanted to thank Comapny 38, 39, 36 on assisting us in the Borough on this fire and every time you come into the Borough. Stay Safe everyone and everyone will go home.

 

2/13/12- Rescue 45 was dispatched to Monroe Twp. for a house fire. Arrived on the scene to find heavy fire on the 2nd floor. Engine 245 transferred to Station 25
